Piha Sunset Bach

With the beach just steps away and glorious vistas from the expansive covered deck ,this beachfront pad is the best place to experience the ever changing West Coast moods and spectacular sunsets of Piha, throughout the seasons. 

Keep an eye out for the "Green Flash" just as the sun dips below the horizon.  It's good luck if you spot it.

This quintessential beach bach has been around since the 1950s and has been upgraded to a relaxed, casual space where you never get tired of the sunset hues and views. 

The outdoor covered deck is the absolute feature of this house and is where you will probably spend most of your time relaxing with a drink and watching the surfers in the waves just out the front.

The sunsets are magnificent and different every day.

Location wise, it's hard to beat. It has the advantage of being only steps to the beach but also enjoying unhindered 180 degree views of the beach and sea - it's a popular vantage point to check the surf! 

The house is on two levels. On the top level, there is an expansive covered deck which overlooks the beach, one bedroom with an ensuite bathroom which has a toilet and shower. There is also a full kitchen/dining/living area on this level and a wood burner fire for colder nights. 

On the ground level are two further double bedrooms and another bathroom with shower and toilet. There is also another kitchen and a large casual TV  room/seating plus work from home desk with a large sliding door opening on to the front garden. Perfect for teenagers or extra space to spread out.

Up to 6 guests can be accommodated. 

Access between upstairs and downstairs is from external stairs. 

There is a large outdoor dining area in the back garden which offers an alternative area to "hang out", relax, read a book, BBQ and alfresco dine with friends or family. There is also an outdoor fireplace in this area which can be used in accordance with seasonal fire regulations.

The host is open to allowing small well behaved pets as the deck is enclosed and dog friendly.
